In the past few seasons, we have used the StallValue Systems to give dollar values for the previous season and also during the season. But what if went further back and looked at the values in the past... who would have the best seasons, in terms of StallValue?

Well, Jim Johnston of Center Field Software pursued this venture, and wrote a paper that was presented at the 2001 SABR (Society of American Baseball Research) national convention. Check out his findings by looking at his paper, all-time lists of StallValues, and create your own for any year 1901-2001 using your own categories.
